Summer is now over and we are in gear with lots of new samples for classes as well as holiday gift items. If you have not been in lately we have done a re-model and moved our classroom to the back of the shop. We have given up our crafts area to the wonderful restaurant next door called “Guest House Grill”. They have a nice patio and great food for both lunch and dinner. They are also open 7 days a week.So many new fabrics, books and patterns have arrived and it is hard for us to keep up with all of it ourselves. If we don’t have any classes going on feel free to schedule time to finish project or even layer your quilt. If you have a group of friends that want to put together a class, call and we would be happy to set a time for you. We can offer lots of support, ideas and help. We will be back to our regular shop hours. Monday thru Friday 10 am to 6 pm. beginning September 15th. We hope that helps everyone with all your sewing and quilting needs. Not only do we carry all the right quilting supplies, we also carry most of all your sewing needs. Don’t be afraid to ask for special orders, we will do our best to get it for you.

THE LOVE OF MACHINE EMBROIDERY MACHINE EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP - Learn the tips, tricks and techniques of Machine Embroidery. Class projects or bring your own. Experienced, patient instructor. Great for beginners or those who want to advance their skills. Lots of fun. Bring your machine or reserve one for a test drive. We love to show what can be done and how easy they are to use.Date: Every Wednesday Please call ahead and reserve your space Instructor: Lynn Time: 10 - 2 Fee : $20.00 per class MACHINE EMBROIDERY RETREAT: Two full fun days of embroidery. Come work on “Violets and More”. A beautiful machine appliquéd quilt with your choice of fabrics to put together your own garden. Class starts at 9 am and finishes with a home cooked dinner by the instructor on the first day. Then come back the next day and jump right back into it.Date: September 16-17 , Tuesday and Wednesday Instructor: Lynn Time: 9 am -??? Tuesday and 9 am - 5 pm Wednesday Fee: $50.00 **********************************************BREAKING NEWS********************************************************* We have purchased several machines to be used in the class room, no need to bring your machine, all instructors are educated on these machine and will help with the ease of sewing and quilting. ********************************************************************************* BEGINNING QUILTING - Come learn all the fundamentals of quilting from color, cutting, piecing, layering and finishing. The perfect classes if you’ve wanted to make a quilt and don’t know where to start. Or if you just need to brush-up on the basics taught by the pros.Date: September 30, October 7,14,21& 28 Tuesday Instructor: Diana Time: 10- Noon Fee: $50.00 MACHINE QUILTING - Continuous line quilting, stitch in ditch, freehand, stippling. Learn this and more. All you need is a machine that goes backwards and forwards. Your machine must have a walking foot & darning foot for this class. Come see how Diana uses helpful tools.Date: November 13, Thursday Instructor: Diana Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Fee: $25.00 ONE BLOCK WONDER - This quilt is very fun to work on. Too many times we hear that you can’t wait to start sewing the next block because each one is so different. It is also a lot of fun to see what everyone else is doing and watch how things come together. Great class for the beginners. Book must be purchased for class. Bring your own lunch or join friends for a salad from Bravo Pizza.Date: November 1, Saturday Instructor: Diana Time: 9 am - 4 pm Fee: $30.00 THE ODYSSEY QUILT- An 8 lesson adventure in techniques and embellishment. Fun is the word that describes Diana’s latest project. You will experience piecing with a wave-edge ruler, fusible appliqué, paper piecing, couching, thread play, embroidery, and fabric folding. Embellishments abound in this quilt and include hot fixed crystals, tassels, beadwork, sequins and more thread play. Stop by and see our model, you will be amazed and motivated to make your own.Date: November 18, 25 December 2,9, & 16 Tuesday Instructor: Diana Time 10 a.m. - 12 noon Fee: $40.00 TABLE RUNNER FOR YOU- In this class make your own Holiday table runner. Choose from many different holiday fabrics and set your table apart from everyone elses. A great class to take and learn how simple this is to make and then make many more for gifts. Pick from a pre-made kit or we can help you custom pick your own. This is a great way to test the waters for quilting. First class will be spent cutting all your fabrics, then on we go to sewing bocks and putting your rag quilt together. Finish size 78 X 66, a great gift to give or treat yourself.Date: October 5, Sunday; 9, 16, & 23; Thursday Instructor: Lynn Time: 6 pm - 8 pm Fee includes kit: $160.00 Seasonal Quilts or Wall Hanging CATS n’ BATS- Just in time to make this very simple wall hanging for Halloween. Class includes pattern, fabric and rhinestones to finish this very fun wall hanging. A great class for any beginners.Date: September 22, Monday Instructor: Lynn Time: 5 pm - 8 pm Fee: $40.00 MIDNIGHT MISCHIEF- Make this cute lap/wall hanging quilt with simple boarders. Great project for the beginner, test the water to see what quilting is all about. This panel has cute pumpkins and black cats. All you need is to purchase the kit, all quilting supplies will be available while at class. When you take this class you need to purchase the kit to make this wonderful wall hanging. Kit includes all fabric to make the top of the quilt as well as the pattern.
